Do you set New Year's resolutions? I didn't use to, but last year I did and it was a total game changer for me! I set multiple goals in the 4 main aspects of my life that I wanted to make progress in. My spiritual life, my marriage and family, my finances, and my physical goals were all important and I wrote them down and shared them with my husband. I think that was the key! Sharing my goals with my husband (or anyone for that matter) was hard because once I said what I wanted to accomplish I actually had to try to accomplish it or he would know that I just gave up or what if he thought less of me because I didn't actually do what I said I would? What if I set my goals too high and I couldn't reach them? What if he didn't think my goals were lofty enough? What if, what if, what it....
You know what? The most important thing is that I wrote down what I wanted to accomplish and had a direction I wanted to go. So what if I didn't get all the way there. So what if the path got derailed in the course of the year, at least I was moving forward and trying to get better! Turns out I had one of the most productive and satisfying years of my life. Yes, I said LIFE! I worked to improve all of the areas of my life that were important to me and I learned so much about myself and how much farther I could go than I thought I could in the process! So the takeaway: 1. Set BIG goals! 2. WRITE them down 3. SHARE them with someone close to you so they can help hold you accountable to what you want to do! I challenge you to dream BIG for 2015....I know I am!
